Requirements

Bosworth Academy identified the need for a new design for the Sixth Form to create a designated area for concentrated study and an engaging space for socialising and dining. The primary goal was to enhance the appeal to prospective students by providing modernised facilities, including a coffee shop-style offering. The project was carefully scheduled to be finished within seven weeks during the school summer holidays, focusing on creating a conducive environment for academic focus and social interaction.

“CRS Interiors transformed our Sixth Form Oaks area and student toilets beyond our expectations. Their team was incredibly flexible, accommodating last-minute changes with ease. Despite the tight deadline of our summer break, they delivered everything on time, and the results are fantastic. Our students and staff love the new spaces, and we’ve received numerous compliments from visitors. We wholeheartedly recommend CRS Interiors for their commitment to quality and adaptability. “

Solution

In collaboration with HSSP Architects, the sixth form was redesigned, involving a complete overhaul of the existing space to create a contemporary, versatile environment for academic study and social interaction. The newly designed area provides students with an inviting and modern space that promotes engagement and collaboration, serving as a vibrant central hub for academic and social activities.

The informal social space was fitted with collaborative functional furniture. This included upholstered perimeter banquette seating, a football table, and a serviced coffee shop, all installed to encourage interaction and relaxation. The focus study space was also designed with workstations and an alternative high-seated desk arrangement, all providing power outlets for laptop use. Acoustic baffles were also installed to reduce noise disturbance, creating an ideal environment for focused studying.

We installed air conditioning throughout both areas to maintain comfortable ambient temperatures. Additionally, we utilised durable flooring and a decorative green colour scheme to evoke a tranquil indoor-outdoor theme, creating a conducive environment for study and relaxation.
